In time for Easter our team designed, manufactured and assembled a “Secret Garden” maze for Middlesbrough’s Captain Cook Square. The brief from our client was to create a temporary 3 day maze that would engage parents and children of all ages with plenty of photo opportunities and distractions.
Wrapped in a heavily textured artificial grass for a sensory experience and covering 64m² the maze was further decorated with rabbits, bugs, butterflies and all kinds of flora and fauna to pull the crowds in. The individual grass walls were built at our facility in Darlington and transported direct to the venue. Installed and decorated late at night by our creative team the maze was unveiled to a curious throng of shoppers on 11th April. After three days of curious children and adults having fun we were back late evening to uplift and remove the maze returning Captain Cook square to a pedestrian thoroughfare.
Hugely popular over the three day event the maze proved a great success for our clients and a brilliant example of what our creative team can design and deliver on a tight lead time.
